Offered here is an an ORIGINAL, antique or vintage face powder box. It is made of WOOD, with a paper label on the top. The label reads (in part): "A HARMLESS FACE POWDER...FROM THE LABORATORY OF ALFRED WRIGHT - PRERFUMER...ROCHESTER, N.Y." I'm not exactly sure when this was made. The perfumer, Alfred Wright died in 1891, but his business carried on for several years after his death. I would "GUESS" this was made circa 1880's to early 1900's - give or take. (Almost certainly over 100 years old.) It measures 2 & 1/2 inches wide, and is 1 & 3/8 inches tall. The condition is FAIR to GOOD. There are paper chips on the label, and it is soiled. The underside is soiled.
