An antique fine quality scholars ink stone box with the ink stone inside the lid of the box on one side and material to clean the brush on the other side. Brass with copper lined inside. Engraved calligraphy on the lid. The box is in very good condition some spots here and there. The lid fits very secure and evenly. Box measures 3 1/8' by 3 1/8' by 1".
